Festival of Manchester – A wonderful celebration and entertaining day for the people of Manchester.

Many of Manchester’s many cultures and communities will be presented at the beautiful Platt Fields Park by the lake. A fun day to spend with friends and family, a day that can excite and delight all ages!

Oldhan Histories festival

Oldhan Histories festivalThis year’s event, which spans the Roman Fort of Castleshaw to a Hindu temple and the banks of the Hollinwood Canal, explores the hidden history of the area. Elsewhere you can find a tour of the 1876 Oldham panorama at the Gallery Oldham and the chance to explore its extensive natural history collections.

Manchester Moon Festival

Inspired by the moon festival, the autumnal harvest festival is celebrated in China and Vietnam under the light of the full moon. The festival Chinatown debut will include a variety of activities including traditional cuisine, lighting displays, and making moon cakes.

Chorlton Book Festival

The Chorlton Book Festival includes a program of events Karline Smith, Paul Tudor Owen, Caroline England, Flapjack Press, Matt Goodfellow, family fun days, quiz nights, history walks and many more. It also introduces the Chorlton arts festival. Its a newly reformed design.

Ocean Film Festival

The Ocean film festival UK & Ireland Tour is back for 2019. It brings a new collection of the world’s most mesmerizing ocean films to Stockport Plaza: from remote Arctic landscapes to an underwater exploration of Mexico. Other film festivals this season include Bolton, Wilderland wildlife, Stockport’s Talking Pictures TV and Wigan and Leigh.

Manchester Food and Drink Festival

First conceived in 1998, over the past 2 decades have become a global culinary market. Bolton is most famous for its food fest. But its annual winter whirl is catching up fast. Expect popular staples such as the ice rink, artisan markets, and snow side. As well as Santa’s Grotto, train ride, live music, and even a ‘singing symphony tree’.
